About UsBU International Student InterVarsity is part of a community of international students and scholars at universities and colleges across the US ("InterVarsity" means "between universities"). We believe everyone should be valued as equals; people from every nation, culture, race, religion, and group are welcome!
We also want to grow and learn from each other. Part of our desire is to grow in understanding of the Bible. We read some scriptures and sing a song each week. We also do many fun activities, weekly dinners, Boat Cruise, Red Sox game, retreat in New Hampshire, eating Thanksgiving dinner at a local family's home, celebrating Christmas gifts exchange. In the winter we try skiing or ice skating. |
Our Staff |
The International Student InterVarsity group was started in 2007 by Tim and Sarah Leary who were inspired by the great hospitality they experienced as internationals living abroad in China. They live in Quincy and have four children who they enjoy bringing to meet students. This is Tim and Sarah's 15th year doing this ministry and they have gotten to know students from many countries and enjoy being their friends while they are in Boston.
